M&G Experience With Nathan Sykes

Son style musical va bien au-delà des chansons pop, plutôt commerciales que l'on peut entendre actuellement à la radio. On retrouve des ballades, des chansons retro/vintage, avec des touches de soul et jazz sur plusieurs de ses chansons.
A propos de l'événement #GetSykedFrance, il été organisé par son label français, Polydor, au sein d'un hôtel parisien. Nous étions environ une vingtaine à assister à ce concert acoustique et inutile de vous dire que c'était fantastique!
Nathan a chanté quatre chansons au piano: Over and Over Again, Marvin Gaye (de Meghan Trainor et Charlie Puth), There's Only One Of You et son actuel single Famous. J'ai été subjuguée par la qualité de sa voix, passant du grave à l'aigu avec une aisance inouïe, un véritable talent!
Au départ il apparaissait très nerveux mais dès qu'il s'est mis à chanter, il n'y avait plus de timidité et on ne voyait que la passion en lui.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a very particular musical event, Nathan Sykes' private show who was in Paris for a couple of days! Who that? Nathan Sykes, a young English singer, former member of The Wanted, and a very promising talent.
His musical style goes beyond the commercial pop music we can heard on the radio nowadays. There are some balads, retro/vintage songs, with notes of soul and jazz on a lot of his songs.
About the #GetSykedFrance event, it was organized by his french record label, Polydor, in a Parisian hotel. We were twenty or so fans to attend that acoustic concert and needless to say that it was fantastic!

Parmi les questions posées, "Quel est son personnage fictif favori et pourquoi?", "Avec qui aimerait-il faire une tournée?", "Il y a-t-il des chansons écrites qu'il n'a jamais enregistré car il les jugeait pas assez bien?" etc.

Pour finir, chaque personne dans la salle a eu le droit à une photo avec Nathan ainsi qu'à une photo dédicacée de lui. Lors de mon passage je l'ai remercié d'avoir chanté There's Only One Of You car c'est l'une de mes chansons préférées de l'album, Unfinished Business, et il était très content. Dans ma folie j'en ai profité pour lui demander qu'on chante le refrain ensemble, ce qu'il a accepté!! J'étais tellement nerveuse que j'ai détonné pas mal, d'autant plus qu'il n'avait pas pris la même tonalité. Enfin bref j'ai tout de même passé un moment génialissime, il est vraiment adorable. Je remercie Elsa, mon amie, de m'avoir permis d'assister à cet événement!
After performing he answered questions from fans on Twitter and also quetsions from the audience. Among the questions asked "What was his favorite fictional character?", "Who whould he like to tour with?", "Are there written songs he never recorded because he thought they were not good enough?" etc.Finally, everyone in the audience took a picture with Nathan and got an autographed picture. When it was my turn I thanked him for singing There's Only One Of You because it is one of my favorite songs off his album, Unfinished Business, and he was very happy. In a moment of boldness I asked him to sing the chorus with me, and he agreed!! I was so stressed I was completely off key, especially since he changed key. Anyway I had an awesome time, he was so adorable. I thank Elsa, my friend, who let me come with her to that event.
